This weekend, I’m heading to NYC for some very special biz events! Most of you know that I’m in a mastermind with a small group of incredible female online entrepreneurs. But what you may NOT know that I also serve as the expert for all things tech in a handful of elite group coaching programs.

It’s been such a fun ride to go from student to teacher, and I can’t wait to meet some incredible women and colleagues this weekend! And now that my biz is international, I’ll also have the opportunity to connect with some of my biz besties from the other side of the globe!

Honestly, 5 years ago, when I was still in the corporate world, I couldn’t have imagined that THIS would be my life. Already this year, I’ve been to conferences in California and London, and I’m headed to Paris and North Carolina later this year!

The ABSOLUTE best part of attending these events {i.e. the part that makes dealing with airport security worth it -- haha}???

Connecting with my colleagues and making incredible new friends along the way!

You’ve probably heard that phrase, “A rising tide lifts all boats.”

It’s SO true.

I wouldn’t be where I am today in my business without the support of my biz besties all around the world.

These are women I can message at any time of the day or night, and they’ll be right there with an encouraging word.

These are women I can share my BIG goals with, knowing they won’t laugh at me, but will instead help me brainstorm new ideas to grow and scale and build momentum.

These are some of the women who will pray with me when I’m facing a particular challenge or when I’m uncertain about my next steps.

Do you have a community like this? I jokingly told someone on my team the other day that my biz besties are “like a sorority… without all the drama!” I can’t tell you how much farther my business is now than it would have been without their love, support, and motivation!

If you don’t have a group of women surrounding and supporting you as you build your business, I encourage you to build that community for yourself.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  1. Join a paid mastermind. The friendships made in these small communities are often worth more than the training itself!
  2. Join a few Facebook groups that include women you’d like to connect with. Add value to the group, and then private message a few women you’d like to get to know better. You can invite them for a virtual coffee date {no strings attached}!
  3. Attend a live event! In the online world, we can sometimes underestimate the power of in-person connections. Building your support system in-person can be an amazing way to connect with like-minded women who will be there to support you every step of the way! {And consider this my personal invitation to meet me live -- see the details below!}

I hope you already have a vibrant community of women supporting your efforts to grow your biz! But if you don’t, it’s never too late to start!
