Have you ever decided to go on a strict diet, only to fall off the wagon a few days later?

Or maybe you chose to give up coffee {but seriously, why??!!} yet brought back the brew on day 3 when the caffeine headache kicked in?

We decide to do a lot of things in our lives, but there are very few things that we make non-negotiable. And making a decision non-negotiable really is the best way to guarantee your success.

When you truly decide to make a positive change in your life, you need to “cut off” all other options to ensure your success {after all, the word “decide” comes from the Latin word “decidere,” which literally means to cut off}.

If you decide to stick to your diet, you’ll likely need to empty your home of junk food. You’re cutting yourself off from the opportunity to binge on sugar and helping your decision stick! If you decide to give up coffee, you’ve got to hide that Nespresso machine and ban yourself from Starbucks. Actions like these will set you up for long-term success, even when you don’t “feel” like sticking to your plan.

So, have you really DECIDED to make your business a success? If so, what have you done to “cut off” all other options? Are you continuing to allow people into your inner circle who act like your biz dreams are just “pie-in-the sky” wishes? Are you operating your business like a professional or treating it like a hobby?

If you want to succeed in business, YOU MUST DECIDE to do so! You’ve got to know {without-a-doubt-know} that you are MEANT for your businessand then practice 100% commitment to your goals {totally non-negotiable}!

That’s not to say that you can’t experiment with different biz offerings, or shift your ideal client, or pivot from time to time. Anyone who builds a successful business will inevitably be listening to the marketplace and changing her business plan to reflect the needs and concerns of her ideal client.

But, most importantly, you’ve got to know that you are FULLY COMMITTEDto the purpose of your business. Make sure that you “cut off” anything that’s keeping you from this purpose, and then pursue your purpose wholeheartedly!

Maybe this week, it’s time to recommit to your business. Or maybe it’s time to join a community of like-minded women who are here to support you in your mission and who are totally obsessed with your vision. Whatever “that thing” is for you and your business, go do it today!
