I am SO excited to continue our book review series.

If you haven’t heard, one of my goals this year was to read at least two books a month. By mid-February, I’d already read over 20!

But more importantly, I’ve already implemented at least one new thing from each book I read.

Imagine how much your business would change if you implemented one new thing every single week?

And here’s the best part —

not only am I going to share what I read and what I learned, but I’m also giving away 10 copies of this book.

Here’s how to enter to win…

We’re picking 10 new winners every week! And I’m sure some of you unicorns will end up winning time and time again.

I’m excited to introduce you to

High Trust Selling by Todd Duncan

Back in 2018 I had the honor of hearing Todd Duncan speak on stage at an event I attended. I remember adding his book to my wish list on Amazon, and then (to be fully truthful) forgetting all about it.

This year, as I was lining up the Top 50+ books I wanted to read, his popped up and I have to say it did NOT disappoint. In fact, this might be my #1 favorite book about sales – and I’ve read dozens.

Here’s why High Trust Selling is different…

After reading most books on sales, I feel like I need to take a shower to wash off all of the icky and spammy strategies that are infused in the bro-marketing culture.

If you’ve felt that way too – and maybe even been uncertain when it comes to sales and online business, Todd Duncan is the coach you’ve been looking for. He approaches sales from the mindset of bigger isn’t always better, quality over quantity, and how to WOW your customer.

This book has helped me to make some lasting changes in the way we serve our Business with Impact Society™ members and in the way we approach sales in all areas of our business.

Now as you know, whenever I read something, I try and find at least ONE thing I can implement now in my business or life (and ideally THREE great things).

Tod approaches sales from the mindset of bigger isn’t always better, quality over quantity, and how to WOW your customer.

These are my top 3 takeaways from High Trust Selling by Todd Duncan

#1

The main difference between the mediocre salesperson and the high-trust sales professional is how they treat their clients after a sale.

After listening to some of Todd’s ideas on how to “wow” the customer, we changed some of our own strategies in our Business with Impact Society™ and have already seen how this has increased customer retention and referrals.

#2

If you don’t have an effective, efficient plan for selling, any business you get is accidental.

This is the problem we see with so many online businesses — I wish that “if you build it they will come” was the reality – but the truth is that once you build it, you need to help people find it.

And that’s where high trust selling can help.

In this book, Todd explains different ways to attract new leads + ask for referrals, and that’s just a fraction of what he covers!

#3

The law of the hourglass.

In this chapter he talks about the 80-20 rule when it comes to selling.

If you’ve listened to my podcast for any amount of time or are a part of the Business with Impact Society™ you know I live by the Pareto principle (the 80-20 rule) and the same is true in sales and business.

80% of most sales come from 20% of the activities.

And by spending time on those 20% activities we can see our sales volume increase significantly.

In fact, we did a deep dive into our own business and realized that social media accounted for only a fraction of our leads and sales – and yet it was where we were spending SOOOOO much time.

By changing where we spent our time, we were able to upgrade our funnels, focus on our organic traffic strategies, and create some HUGE wins in a matter of months.

From sales mindset to failure to customer satisfaction to how to spend your time, Todd covers #allthingssales in this book in a way that’s fun, conversational, and very informative.
