I am SO excited about this week’s 5-minute book review segment.
If you haven’t heard, one of my goals this year was to read at least one book a week. And so far I’ve almost doubled that goal!
But more importantly, I’ve committed to implementing at least one new thing from each book I read.
Imagine how much your business would change if you implemented one new thing every single week?
And here’s the best part —
not only am I going to share what I read and what I learned, but I’m also giving away 10 copies of this book.
Here’s how to enter to win…

We’re picking 10 new winners every week!
Ok without further ado, today I’m excited to introduce you to
Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl.
I started reading this book because I heard a friend mention how impactful it had been for their life and their business.
And not-so-coincidentally, after reading the book I was telling my husband what a profound impact it had on my own life and he pulled out his copy that he’d read almost a decade ago.
Now this book isn’t your typical business book.
In fact, it’s not about business at all.
Man’s Search for Meaning is a 1946 autobiography of sorts by the late Victor Frankl, an Austrian neurologist, psychiatrist, philosopher, and Holocaust survivor.
In it, he details his experiences as a prisoner in Auschwitz in World War 2 and despite enduring some of the worst suffering I’ve ever read about, he explains how he was able to survive it all.
Now I love biographies. I love stories about overcoming. And I’m really into science and psychology and mindset and living from our purpose. I found this book fascinating and was on the edge of my seat with each new chapter — but even if you hate that type of book, I’m going to tell you to power through this one because what you will walk away with is that good!
My takeaways from this book went beyond business – and yet, they had a profound impact on the lens in which I see life and business.
I’m going to tell you to power through this one because what you will walk away with is that good!
Here’s my top 3 takeaways from Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl

When Frankl went to publish the book, he almost didn’t put his name on it. He planned to publish it anonymously and his friends encouraged him to put his name on it. He didn’t write it to get famous – in fact, he wrote it in a matter of days. But he knew that this message – these findings – this story – must be told. And I think this is a huge lesson – because even though he did end up famous for his work, he would have done it anyway. And the same is true for you and your business. The WHY and PURPOSE behind it are what will drive everything forward. Those looking for fame rarely find it (for more than a few minutes, anyway)… but those looking to serve from a place of purpose – well, they’re happy with or without the fame.
I wish we had more time to talk about all of the profound lessons from this book!
